„Energy and environment – My idea for tomorrow“: Submit your excerpt now!

You are writing your doctorate and may be working as a research assistant at the same time. Actually, you don't have any spare time - but as a junior researcher, you certainly deserve support. That's why Stiftung Energie & Klimaschutz (Energy & Climate Protection Foundation) offers you a forum where you can present your work and make contacts with doctoral candidates from other universities and institutes as well as with potential employers from science and industry. Even better, some of you will receive cash prizes and a publication.

How does that work? Every year the foundation invites entries for the "Energy Campus" competition. To participate is easy: send us a five-page excerpt resume from your doctorate, which is related to the energy system and the environment of tomorrow. The idea contest is aimed at PhD students of any study discipline, i.e. not only of technical or IT study courses, but also at economists, sociologists or at those who are doing a doctorate e.g. on the ethical or financial aspects of climate protection and energy system transformation etc. The best entries will be invited to the final symposium on 15 November 2019 at the KIT in Karlsruhe.

The closing date for entries is Sunday, 13 October 2019 at 12 pm. Further information can be found on the foundation homepage. To see the contributions of the past years, photos and short video clips please visit https://www.energie-klimaschutz.de/projekte/energiecampus. You can read the details of the call for entries in the attached file. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Foundation.
